Dr. Mohsin Khan

Vice Chair

Mohsin is a hospital doctor/NHS consultant working in mental health.

He has decades of considerable policy experience, including at the Department of Health, the House of Commons, a major health think tank, and NHS campaign organisations.

He has also served as a school governor for over a decade.

Within the Lib Dems, Mohsin has served on the Federal Policy Committee for over half a decade, including as Vice-Chair. He has been repeatedly elected directly by party members nationally.

He has been a Vice Chair and a former Chair of the Lib Dem Campaign for Race Equality for several years. He has been involved with the English Council and regional policy committees, has stood as a Council candidate, and is a former local party Vice-Chair, making him highly experienced at all levels of the Party. Over the years, he has sat on numerous Policy Working Groups, including chairing and vice-chairing groups in health, mental health, and social care, as well as serving on race/ethnic minority equality policy and improving diversity groups. He has worked on numerous equality and diversity motions, amendments, and campaigns, and often collaborates with related diversity organisations.

He believes that your birth should not limit your life chances and destiny. He is passionate about promoting diversity and tackling the various factors that intensify ethnic minority discrimination. He believes that improving ethnic minority equality and its links with other diversity strands strengthen ALL people in the UK. We are stronger together. He is deeply concerned about how many of the hard-won gains in equality and diversity are being eroded both nationally and internationally, but he remains hopeful about the many advances, sometimes very slowly, we continue to make.
